Vine’s latest update brings a host of new features, with the most notable being the ability to upload previously recorded videos. iOS users can now select any video from their camera roll and upload it to the app. They can even trim longer videos to select any six-second segment.
This doesn’t mean the end of the natural, old-school Vine videos. However, the new features allow users to combine different types of videos, paving the way for more creative projects.
Additionally, users can duplicate frames, mute video audio, and preview each clip while shooting. Another unexpected but welcome feature is the inclusion of tools like a flashlight for low-light scenes, a stabilization option, focus lock, and a ghost mode for the front camera.
With these updates, Vine is poised to make social media even more dynamic and colorful.
