Following the launch of its “Stories” feature, Instagram continues to test new features for its users. Soon, Instagram will roll out the “Save as Draft” option, offering improvements to photo-sharing capabilities.
Sometimes, users face indecision about filtering or adding captions to their photos before sharing them. To help preserve your progress during this decision-making process, Instagram has started testing the save as draft feature.
With this new feature, you can save any adjustments you’ve made to your photos—such as tweaks to brightness, contrast, and filters—directly to your library without posting them. This ensures that any effort spent perfecting your photo won’t go to waste.
Regular Instagram users know the importance of making a few edits and trials to ensure their photos are flawless. Instagram’s development team is focused on making the platform more user-friendly and efficient, and the ability to save drafts is part of that effort.
Currently, this new feature is available to a select group of users as part of a testing phase. Based on the feedback collected, the “Save as Draft” feature is expected to roll out to all users in the near future.
