The long-awaited WhatsApp update for iPhone users is finally here. Virtual assistant Siri can now read your WhatsApp messages aloud and even compose and send your replies upon request.
Following the recent addition of the money transfer feature, WhatsApp continues to roll out updates. With the collaboration between Siri and WhatsApp, iPhone users can now have their messages read aloud and respond without touching their screens.
How to Use This Feature:
- Update Your iPhone to iOS 10.3
Ensure your device is running the latest iOS version. - Update WhatsApp to the Latest Version
Download the newest WhatsApp update from the App Store. - Activate Siri to Read Your Messages
Simply say:
“Hey Siri, read my WhatsApp messages”.
After completing these steps, Siri will read out your WhatsApp notifications while you’re driving, walking, exercising, or in any situation where you can’t check your phone. You can also dictate your replies for Siri to send.
If you receive multiple messages, Siri will prompt you to respond to each one individually. Previously read messages will not be included in this feature.
Additional Updates:
- Redesigned group chat screens.
- Support for multiple status updates.
This feature is now available to all iPhone users. For Android users, a similar capability may be coming to Samsung devices with Bixby integration.
