Instagram, the popular social media platform making waves lately, continues to enhance its video capabilities following the “Save as Draft” feature. Recognizing that the future lies in video content, Instagram is now testing a new “Channels” feature designed to make video discovery easier for users.
Currently in the testing phase and available to select users, the feature is integrated into the app’s “Explore” section.
When accessing the Explore page, users will still encounter suggested videos and photos they might enjoy. However, with the addition of the Channels feature, posts will now be grouped into specific categories for easier navigation.
Users granted access to the Channels feature can view video content categorized under headings like “Cats,” “Celebrations,” “Chocolate,” “Babies,” and “Soccer,” among many others. Instagram organizes video content into these categories, enabling users to browse and watch videos of their interest with ease.
Although Instagram has not made an official announcement about the feature or its release timeline, the testing phase indicates that it’s gearing up for a broader rollout. To stay updated and be among the first to use the new Channels feature, keep an eye on Instagram’s updates and developments.
