The photo-sharing platform Instagram, owned by Facebook, is testing a new feature. Following the success of Facebook’s Live Broadcast feature, Instagram is now preparing to bring this capability to its users. Although still in the testing phase, the feature has already created a buzz across social media.
Recently, Instagram introduced the Stories feature inspired by Snapchat. Now, the platform is testing live streaming as an addition to its feature set.
With the live broadcast feature added to the Explore section, Instagram users will be able to host their own live streams while also viewing popular live broadcasts. By pressing the Go Insta button, users can start live streaming, and these broadcasts will be marked with a Live icon in the Stories section for easy access.
With 500 million active users according to recent statistics, Instagram continues to shine with its new features and seems poised to attract even more users.
Currently, the Live Broadcast feature is being tested exclusively in Russia. However, there is no confirmed information about when it will be available to all users.
