Apple has officially launched its highly anticipated Apple Watch this morning. The online store went live at 7:01 AM, and by 10:00 AM, the device was also made available in physical stores for customers.
Described as Apple’s most personal device yet, the Apple Watch is now accessible in several countries, including the United States, Germany, the UK, France, and Turkey. Featuring categories such as Travel, Creativity, Health, Fitness, Communication, and Business, the Apple Watch offers a variety of functionalities. Popular apps like Twitter, Instagram, Uber, Shazam, Foursquare, YapıKredi, and Akbank Direkt are available on the device through the “Featured” section of the store. The store includes both free and paid apps.
In Turkey, the much-awaited Apple Watch comes in two sizes: 38 mm and 42 mm. It is available in three models: Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, and Apple Watch Edition, each offering six different finishes: aluminum (gray, silver), stainless steel (gray, black), and gold (rose, yellow). The watches feature Retina displays with multi-touch functionality and pressure sensitivity. The Apple Watch Sport is equipped with Ion-X strengthened glass, while the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition are protected with sapphire crystal, making them highly resistant to scratches and impacts.
As sapphire crystal is the second hardest transparent material after diamond, the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition stand out for their durability. The price ranges for the Apple Watch in Turkey are as follows:
- Apple Watch Sport: 1,249 TL – 1,399 TL
- Apple Watch: 1,999 TL – 3,899 TL
- Apple Watch Edition: 34,000 TL – 56,000 TL
